Some recent releases I had the pleasure of working on Glass - Another Day Glass are a super creative and open minded band which allowed us to do some slightly less 'standard' stuff: such as the splash cymbal on the snare vibe through the verses, with a 'normal' drum sound for the rest of the song. Lots of fun with guitar pedals was had too!
Kill The Silence - The Final Word
These guys really know whats up when it comes to this genre of music. Humongous riffs, complex drum patterns and super impressive vocal chops. It can easy to fall into the trap of making metal records that all sound the same but my multi-genre tastes came in handy here, particularly in the verses which we gave a bit of synthy goodness to. I might have even slyly snuck a drum and bass style breakbeat in somewhere else on this record ;)
Harris Rafferty - Burning A darker more rock based direction for my man Harris on this one. His recent decision to have full time collaborators for his music has influenced him to experiment with his sound a little more and we all made the decision to push this track to be harder edged and moodier.
