New Releases - October 25

Some of the bands I've been working with have put out some new releases this week. Check them out! The Kites - Skylar

The Kites have dropped another single (the 13th single I've produced for them!) that pushes their sound to new places. A little darker, a little more progressive but still catchy, punchy and unmistakably 'The Kites'. I had some fun highlighting the storytelling nature of this song through the production and mix of this song. Parts come and go, the space changes between sections and different elements move around the stereo field (and forward and backwards) to keep things interesting. Harris Rafferty - Duck Duck Goose

A brand new banger from Harris Rafferty. A bit of a collab between myself and Harris' long time mentor/tutor Jack Herbert who helped Harris refine the song before we got to work on the full production. Great fun was had with Saxophone on this track, which is a rare thing for me. Big up to the session musicians on this track. Karl Francis on drums, Craig Dugdale on guitar, Jack Herbert on keys and Ross Munro on sax. Pat on the back for me on bass, production and mix ;) Master by the don Grant Berry

The Lavelles - Keep On Coming

This one is a pretty straight up indie track. No frills, just a 4 piece band with meaty guitar tones, big hooks and a relatively raw sounding mix. I leant in to saturation and a lot of the natural room mics to give the impression of being in the room with the band.
