MASSIVE PRODUCTIONS
FROM SONG TO MASTER
Suff Studio is a purpose built recording studio in Lancashire, run by me - Matt Heap, a producer, musician, recording and mix engineer with over 10 years experience recording music across multiple genres from metalcore through to pop music. I also play guitar and sing in the shoegaze/grunge band Honeyspider and am an active function musician playing bass, guitar and vocals. My musician and songwriting skills allow me not only to record your music but lend a fine ear to the details of the song itself.
As a producer I encourage you to experiment with sounds, layers and harmonies while I experiment with various recording techniques and equipment selection to accomplish an intricate and massive sound. This means that you will leave the studio with recordings that are totally unique to you and go beyond the original bones of what you came to the studio with.
Most importantly, I am collaborator. I put the needs and tastes of each artist before my own and work with them to achieve the sound that suits their own original music, adding my suggestions and advice to enhance what it is that is special and unique about their current sound. Equally, I am also open to collaborating with new bands or artists as they experiement and refine their sound or to bring out something new in artists who are looking to expand on their past works.

ABOUT SUFF STUDIO
LIVE SOUND
I also work as a front of house engineer, both as in-house engineer at local venues and as touring engineer for bands at venue tours and festivals. Recently I've been busy with The Kites as their touring engineer, mixing for big stages at Truck Festival, Kendal Calling, Leeds Festival, Big Feastival, Ocean Fest, Together Again and various venues around the UK. I have vast experience on all the major console brands, building up my own workflow and show files to minimise technical set up at shows and allow more focus on making things sound bad ass.
I'm be happy to discuss the opportunity to work with other bands in the live world and am open to tours and festivals.
